Benchmarking is a management and ongoing improvement tool designed for the public transportation organizations. The purpose of this committee is to compare production and productivity data, analyze the discrepancies and, in light of these findings, exchange information on best practices adopted. Each year since 2004, the nine transportation organizations have taken part in this activity; focusing specifically on organizational-controlled bus services (any data concerning the metro and sub-contracted transportation and paratransit services is not included).
