Performance and Growth of Transportation Organizations

The ATUQ seeks to contribute to improving member organizations’ performance by maintaining or implementing new tools. On the one hand, the intervention methods deal with exchanging best practices through the ATUQ’s sectoral committees, which group together representatives from each of the transportation organizations.

On the other hand, as technology continues to evolve, the ATUQ will equip its members to ensure optimal supply in terms of vehicles, systems and equipment, and will support them, among others, in the arrival of transport electrification. The association will also be a privileged source
of information for its members.

The ongoing performance improvement of transportation organizations and their growth are also among the key priorities of the ATUQ. To this end, the ATUQ maintains the exchange of expertise and networking activities between members, by optimizing the contribution of benchmarking initiatives and by organizing training sessions specifically designed to meet the needs of public transportation organizations, in order to ensure a pool of expertise. This is achieved in the following manner:

Sector committees

By bringing together one or more representatives from each of the transportation organizations, these committees foster the sharing of experience and expertise between members, in particular with respect to projects of common interest, and the development of tools and methodologies. To facilitate the exchange of information and the planning of meetings, the ATUQ has set up the ATUQ Forum for the sector committees.

Benchmarking

Benchmarking is a management and ongoing improvement tool designed for the ATUQ’s public transportation organizations. The purpose of this tool is to compare production and productivity data, analyze discrepancies and, in light of these findings, exchange information on best practices adopted. Benchmarking committee.

Unified management of bus contracts and group purchasing

The ATUQ encourages the sharing of services, such as the unified management of bus contracts and the group purchasing program, which allows all the transportation organizations to benefit from substantial costs savings. These services are offered by AVT Acquisition and Management of transportation vehicles and systems.
