The STL and its employees have a mission:
To develop and provide Laval with a high quality, efficient public transit system that will evolve according to the needs of the community and improve their quality of life.
To promote sustainable mobility in Laval and contribute to its growth.
To make sure that the means of mass transit on our territory including walking and cycling are well integrated.
The STL has successfully accomplished its mission by operating a bus and adapted transportation network via partnerships and agreements with several organizations.

Powered by positive energy!
They’re off! Our first fully electric buses with 250 km range are now in service. The STL’s 10 electric buses will be gradually put into service on our network to provide you with an even more eco-friendly transportation method.
This is a minor revolution for public transit in Laval:
- Each electric bus will prevent 70 to 80 tonnes of GHG emissions each year, and help reduce road congestion.
- Electric buses are quieter. On board or near one of our electric buses, you’ll notice that they’re a lot quieter than a hybrid or biodiesel bus.
- Electric buses produce fewer vibrations, which makes riding them a lot nicer.
TRAVEL EVEN MORE SAFELY.
- The driver protection zone is mobile. This means that the partition will close when you enter the bus and open toward the aisle when you have finished paying your fare.
This is a plus for Laval residents’ and users’ quality of life. In order to benefit as many passengers as possible, electric buses will be put into service randomly throughout the STL network.
Keep an eye out for them!
