The ATUQ conducts political representation activities at the various levels of government.
The ATUQ holds regular meetings with elected provincial officials from all political parties in order to raise public transportation issues and challenges, particularly those related to thefunding of public transportation.
Filing of briefs
Political meetings are also organized when the ATUQ files briefs as part of pre-budget or public consultations.
Presentation of studies
When the ATUQ releases certain studies, it seizes the opportunity to present them to members of Parliament and ministers.
Public transportation awareness days
In 2012 and 2013, the ATUQ organized a special day at the Quebec National Assembly to inform elected officials and heighten their awareness with respect to the importance of investing in public transportation in order to ensure its development.
