Thanks to the Société de financement des infrastructures locales (SOFIL), part of the funding is derived from the Federal Gas Tax Fund. The breakdown of the SOFIL’s current financial program (2014-2019) is as follows:
- 49.4% of the funds are provided by the Federal Government ($485.5 million).
- 50.6% of the funds are provided by the provincial government ($497.6 million).
A total of $983.1 million, of which $938.2 million are allotted to the public transportation organizations.
